Jay Dobyns is a New York Times/International Best Selling Author , and public speaker. Jay’s book No Angel, documented his experience going under cover infiltrating the Hells Angels for the United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms
Jay’s story is remarkable, for over 27 years he successfully infiltrated and brought down deadly criminals, illegal enterprises, operated among notoriously deadly gangs and gunrunning groups, he’s been shot in the chest, and is the only ATF agent to go deep into the elite of the Hells Angels. His book is definitely an exciting read, a defense attorney once described Dobyns as “A government-trained ‘Predator’ repeatedly sent on seek and destroy missions in search of drugs, guns and violence, with instructions to succeed at any cost and without regard for the agent himself or those he crosses paths with.”
Commenting on his preferred reading, Jay said “Like the films I love, the books I read are non-fiction stories about people I admire.”
Here are five books Jay Dobyns recommends:
“Billy’s story is like mine in No Angel. He is the real-deal.”
–Making Jack Falcone: An Undercover FBI Agent Takes Down a Mafia Family by Joaquin Garcia.
“Jack is one of the premier undercover operators of our time. The story of his adventures operating in the world of traditional organized crime is fascinating.”
–In the Company of Heroes: The Personal Story Behind Black Hawk Down by Michael Durant.
“Mike was the pilot shot down and captured in Mogadishu during the event’s captured in the film BlackHawk Down. This is Mikes personal account.”
“Simply a classic of true crime.”
–Where Men Win Glory: The Odyssey of Pat Tillman Jon Krakauer. A story that is both harrowing and tear-jerking captured by an incredibly gifted writer.
